Socketing May Work

welll i dnno how to explain this but anyway ill try..

if i am correct each item has a special packet or item I.D so somehow we could try and work out which I.D or packet will make a socket?

IS it possible?

I don't think so because its like saying "Drop 555,555,555" when you only have 100 silvers in your inventory

Anyway, server decides, you cant decide for it

Unless you're talking about a whole packet this wouldn't work. All ID for a certain item, eg. GreenEarring will be something like 117303, then the item ID may vary if it's -5 or upgraded. Now with a whole packet of an item you can get into more detailed things, like durability, etc.

yes it's possible to define it..ID#=blah......but the server verifies it..and thats the problem..

maybe he means he wants to figure out which IDs will produce a socket... to try and get that item, not to fool the server into thinking you have it
