It's legal as long as they tell you about it. That is what happened in WoW for example... Blizzard implented a "trojan" that checks through your currently running programs (and possibly other stuff too) to see if you have any cheats on. I don't know if they got sued for that but some people were asking for fines up to millions.. hah you *******

Edit: Oh yeah, They DIDN'T tell you about the extra program anywhere if I remember correctly.

They CANT retreive information about your running programs if you DONT want it.
And they are not gonna do this because we almost always have an answer on stupid TQ ideas
