Let's say you play in twin city, before you login the game renders a map for the entire city and places it in the background so that you see a background of twincity. Then it has to take that background and resize it for the map you see when you press the magnifying glass. Now I figured out how they rendered their maps so I am doing the same as they are.
You might wonder, what possible sort of usefulness could they have? Well as you see in my sig I am working on a Bot, and I will be rendering my own maps, and then be using them as minimaps in my bot, I will place portals, npcs, players, monsters, yourself and all possible things in it as different color dots.
You can't really take a finished map from the co site to do this, for many reasons.
1. They have a bunch of stuff cluttered all over it.
2. Finding out the size ratios per pixel and cordinate is hard unless you know the rendering method. (Which you need when you are placing players/monsters etc on the map.
3. Their maps have additions to them, such as a bit of graphics added in something like photoshop, which I do not intend to do

.
Everything is worked out programatically on my side. I will show the results later.
