the .ini files simply store data, its the dat files u need 2 edit for sizes etc, they control client-side data, so if you changed the size of a monster on the monster.dat it changes the size of that monster on your screen and if you changed anything in the item.dat that would show on YOUR client etc
EDIT: not sure whether you can swap the mesh's around in armor.ini or in other things if that will change anything, never tried
