I've made a module to decrypt incoming / outgoing information from ConquerOnline and am thinking about creating a new set of bots / updating old VB.net modules.
My latest idea is to allow all these bot/helper programs to communicate data to a server so that they can be clustered together in psudo-guilds... hence the birth of Borg.
ConquerOnline Borg series: Liberated, Automaton & Hive
* Liberated Borg (Human players, maybe using some "Helper" bots)
* Borg Automaton (Fully bot/automated player)
* Borg Hive (The server which borgs link into to share information)
Note: Hive also supports centralized information for other bots with borg technology
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Here are some notes on the Hive, so far (Design stage):
Description:
Passworded subscription-based database
Features:
* Admin-Only :: Configurable server port
* Admin-Only :: Delete user accounts
* Admin-Edit :: Default "signup" username / password (Preset to "New" / "password")
* Admin-Create :: Individual user login/password information
* Admin-Only :: Stores login/logout logs with IP of username
* Admin-Edit :: MOTD (Message of the day)
* User-Create :: addNew/update/subscribe data-structures in Hive
* Feature :: Users "subsribe" to data which is sent to them automatically if its updated
* Feature :: Capable of storing arrays
Ofcourse this hive (server) will be able to be ran on just your own computer with IP 127.0.0.1 but the power behind it will be that your bot/helper program can be set to share information with other bots/helpers via a hive which multiple Borg use. (For automated KoS & LastSeen lists, PK warnings for mines, AutoSelling, Automated pLvling, etc)
Im looking for feedback from bot creators / programmers atm on if they like the idea of allowing their bots to share information with other bots through this kind of decentralized server/network.
