MetDove showing on mini map as team mate

For example you log the packet when you run ur mouse over ur team mates avatar (his pisittion flashes on the map)
the we figure out where the name is in the packet and edit it into MeteorDove
resend the packet and it might show metdove blinking on minimap

isn't the packet sent different for monsters? I think it's more than a name change. Also, as per the recent patch that fixed the scanner hack, I think you have to be found on the same team as the target. My packet editing skills being limited however, it might still be possible...

hehe I thought about it and it seems kind of stupid
I should just make a char called MeteorDove and go over his avatar in team but that wouldn't work lol :P

maybe there's is a way to differ packets between player names and mob names...

I think someone tried that already and the 2nd or 3rd last patch fixed that

there is already someone named MeteorDove on freedom

and as for your idea, each monster has a different id number (like items) so you would need to find out the id number for the met dove. but of course, you would need to first find the dove to find his id number... and if you find it, you wont have any need to find it

yah this has been discussed, i believe that the case is that the dove has a new ID# each time it spawns

but just for the refference, if i was to log it's packet whould it need to just appear on my screen or move or do i have to kill it?

I dont think this is posible do to the fact both players and monsters have id wich are unique, they seem to differ quite a lot and besides i think the showing of players out of the party was patched not totally sure though
