Such noobs at tq. Its like they are wanting us to "hack" them. Why don't they cclear out their websites. They leave them there for a porpuse. For us to fix their bugs !
OK the speed is good and econquer.zip is oldest client. It is the alpha. Download that one. the other oeconquerXXXX.zip is newer alpha and corrupted.

I just downloaded it.

Is what anhang said true, that it is just an animation, or would it actually work. Anyone tested this yet?
Edit: Btw it's not slow I'm downloading at 600k/s.

this method simply prevents the game from patching to the new patch...
1. Uninstall CO
2. Install CO
3. Open up Version.Dat with notepad
4. Change it from... 2001 (this is the version number)... to 2002 (this is the new version's number, the one with the patch)
5. Save
thats all u have to do, what this does is when u open up CO, the server will read that u have the newest version (which in actuality, u don't) and it will not patch your game (thus u will not have anything else they added in the new patch, though i haven't seen anything new except new boot pictures, and this annoying error , so it should be ok)
(dont know if this will work but i saw it on co2 forums...

IT does NOT work. not possible to connect to old client anymore. What you would have to do is, connect to with old client, without using any thing after patcher 4233. If you can do that with the econquer.zip original, then post it here. I couldnt connect after all patches, and new server.dat, and also some of the inis.

I was wondering... Is it possible to just find out the file that's decide of your "Percent to level up" and switch it with an old one? Would that work? Cause as XtremeX-CO said, is it IMPOSSIBLE to connect to the server with the alpha client.
EDIT: Ok guys, i through i made it.. but i did'nt, I'm getting this error:

i only read some posts here but i can tell you as much as i know the server sends you the amount of exp you have and there is a file in you co ini folder called LevelExp.dat that is used for the exp bar and the amount of percent you have to get before the lvlup but its only for the exp bar nothing is done with it
if you have an old one maybe the values in there are different from those now cause they lowered the amount that is needet at higher lvls so it seems you lvl at 50% but in reality its just normal and your client just displays it wrong
i tested it and changed values in there and i lvled and got exp over 100% like 117% and no lvlup cause the server tells you when to lvl up not the client so just forget the idea of the old client
or make what ever you want to do i don`t care anyway

if u really want to lvl fast. Put 14 SuperRainbow Gems in your full 2 soc items u well get 700% on lvling... >

1: 14 gems will only work for a trojan
2: 14 gems * 25% = 350% additional xp. dunno where you get the 700 from...

I was in this one clan once and they were telling me over vent that if i grinded from lvl 46 to level 48 then got a 30% scroll for 3 days that i could quest from level 48 to 60 in 3 days by quests alone. I didnt think much of it at the time but now im looking into it more. There are 10 quests from 46-47 and 4 more at lvl 48. By doing them all with 30% it would give alot of experience and it might be posible that every time you level you get new quests to level you up again to be like a...
