Improving FPS=?

Ok Conquer is a old as ****, yet I cant play it with constant 40 fps...it dont ******* get it.

What do you need to get constant 40 fps?

I got:
E8400 dual core cpu
8gig ram mushkin redline 4x2 at 800mhz
Radeon HD 5770 1gig...
standard hd drives

Im running it at 1920x, and CO in window mode stretched out a little bit, but faaaaar from covering the full screen and Im got gonna play in 800x or 1024x.

Im guessing Id need to OC my graphic card if I want the better fps? Or is there any other ways\tweaks I can do.


Currently Im getting 40 fps on low def in empty spots...but it drops to about 30 at market etc...

I know the text bar removed helps and I just found that if you push the CO window off the PC screen, it improves ur fps lol..the more u push out the higher the fps.

Currently, Conquer Online is not compatible with Windows 8. It's very possible that it will never be compatible and that we'll be seeing Conquer 3.0 this Christmas (as they originally planned, but we'll see about that). If you're running Windows 8, that might be a problem. Try running it on Windows 7. One way to combat the FPS problem (on Windows 8 or 7), is to manually increase it. I'm not sure if that will get you banned or not though. There are guides on how to do it.

it works until there is much on the screen. rule of thumb: per 2 effects on the screen, 5fps decrease.

Lol if Conquer give u fps drops on that setup then somethings messed up. You can run Crisis 3 smooth with that lol...Im guessing u play high res fullscreen then, but still, thats just fucking ridiculous.

Do you mean the fps unlock or are you talking about some further edit that strips down the Client, cos I thought the fps unlocker only removed the fps cap.

Also Im using win 7 with the performance option lol and no way Im jumpin over to Co 3.0: just too much time invested in Co to start over again. Not to mention I love the fact that everythings linked to the $$$`s and the trading\market part of it.

Yeah, iv noticed a frames difference since i started playing on my win8 laptop.
