Is there any hack/glitch, etc. that allows the change of the real metdoves size, appearance,etc.?

Not really, no.
But a minimap helps. I kill it every day now =P

theretime a lot ppl did it with the healthbar so its a huge one but i dunno if this still work its an old thread mb search 4 it

there are a few fixed coords for spawns they work good but i dont know the spawntimes (minutes after killing) and yes a minimap helps a lot
