not to bad but i think it should have been better

If you have any drop rate tests you would like to do please post here
1.pick a single monster
2.pick your area (one thats not very common, so you'll be the onlyone there)
3.pick up EVERY item that drops so you dont miss any good items
4.set your goal, like me i picked 20,000 kills
5. keep track of your kills just incase you D/C
6.have funn/ get some bad a** stuff
and post your results here

i was going through some threads on bbs.conqueronline.com and i came across a kidd who did a drop rate experiment.

I'm new to this site but not to new to conquer, i would just like to make a rep for this site so here is my first topic:

I will be doing a test over the period of 20,000 kills with ElfApes only, to determine what kind of drops i get then i will post them here. i will edit this thread every 1000 kills and let you know what i got, I hope this helps some ppl,

i will only post my drops of (R) or better, and for the funn of it i will post how many times i get PK'd (since more then likely it will happen lol

and so i start off....

Im doing the test in the bottom corner, its not the best spawn but it is decent.

Is this experiment to try and find a pattern in the drops, or just for fun?

it is a wide spreak rumor that drop rate differs between classes ( archer's chance for nice stuff/kill is lower as for a warrior, something which even I am about to believe since playing war)

So what is you class and +/-1lv?

i am an archer when i did this i was probally lvl 90-95

but currently i am 112

I hunted just as u, only I did 2k elfapes and got:
. 3mets
. +1 tao armour
. and 1 tried to pk me but ran off in the end

anyone else have any drop rate tests they would like to share i will thank you, try to have ALOT of kill though make it a good experiment, and hey it might pay off for you aswell

You didn't post where you hunted for all that stuff. o.o

Also, do you think the amount of time the server has been running since the last server maintenance affects drop rates in anyway? Like a fixed drop amount of good items per hour/ since maintenance or w/e?

Ok While your idea sounds good in practice , in reality its not that good. While hunting the same mobs does yield better results after a while all mobs have the same coding for drop rates. IE. Random(not truly random as computers can never give truly random results until they are designed like neural pathways. Ok So one day u could go out and do 20k on snake man for instance and get mad results, and the next day same kills same time, nothing, Each and every time u kill something it calls for the script of generation. Each time. So if a dbs drop rate is 1 in one thousand, it doesn't mean that if u kill 1000 mobs u will get a db. It means that every creature u kill u will have a 1/1000 chance off getting the item. This Been said some monsters in my opinion have a better chance to drop certain items. I have been playing this game since co1 and since there was only 2 servers. Snake man And bird men in my opinion have the best drop rates for +1s and mets. But anyhow good luck in your hunting. Also 2 hours worth of lucky time stored up, from what i know it DOES increase your luck a tiny bit
