To Bot or Not to Bot

It has been a hot topic of debate between some friends of mine and myself as to whether or not conquer should allow botting. In my opinion, it should be allowed. See, conquer has changed alot from the simple days of the original conquer online. Before, you just had to be nice to earn respect. Don't pk, level every now and then, and don't be rude... these things made you a likeable person in the Conquer world. Now, the only way to earn respect, is to buy massive amounts of dbs, become lvl 130+, and have full 2 soc super uber leet gears. Where has all the fun gone... the answer... far far away. The original appeal of Conquer online was that it was a free alternative to the massive abundance of mmorpgs that have been being released. It had a simple interface, beautiful colors, fun classes, and the potential to be a very fun way of wasting time. Now, its a competition just to survive. If you dont buy dbs, your a nobody, and will never change. And now, they've given people who dont buy dbs a way of being even more well known, and disliked. These "free" equipment quests give you ref, uni, and elite gear, but label the gear as "free", basically announcing to everyone that the wearer of the equipment doesnt buy dbs and will never amount to anything. And so, botting seems to be the only fair answer. Yeah, its cheating... or is it? For those who have bills to pay and families to support, buying dbs is just not an option. Quitting Conquer is not an option either, as for some of us, adults inpeticular, it is the safest form of retreat from average everyday life. This is my situation. I don't have the time to sit infront of my computer for 8 hours a day, as I must work to support my wife and child. I also don't have the spare money to waste on some game. Tell me what you think.

Botting shudent be allowed, thats my opinion but i dont care if people dos.
People frome my server cry bots just couse they get owned, but i dont see whats the problem with bots, except the fact it proves you got a life and NO this dont include aimboting and speed hacking in pvp.
And the part with you can buy respect. depends if u want real respect or some egy putting a ***** up ur ***.

In all honesty botting aint that bad, main reason is TQ can use the competition, anything of value that the cheating community provides will be patched or atleast an attempt too, without cheaters TQ would be even lazier.
I think cheating is a choice, you either do it or you dont, in the end its still a game.
and if cheating adds fun to you, more pleasure, or a nice way of wasting time,
then id say cheat all you want.

But at the same time i do think, if you cheat and break the games rules, well then there should be no whining they do their job, by jailing, banning or whatever they do.

Right, I'm not talking about aim bots, I'm talking about leveling bots.

Since tq made so many ways to lvl like quests,exp *****,dbs and all the other stuff i think that tq don't care about people leveling actually if people level faster they will get 120+ faster and they'll have to use/buy dbs to up their items after lvl 120 so i won't be surprised if TQ actually allow botting or make their own bot and sell it >.> Oh and I don't mind botting even tho i never botted.

Bulking is worse for the gameplay than ppl using hunting / lvling bots, though I kill anyone who hunts with CID because they are just so annoying.
Obviously TQ still shouldn't allow botting, that just makes no sense, but I sure wouldn't tell on someone I see hunting with a bot.
