Ultimate hacking - bruteforce

Hmmm....i dunno if any of you have heard of bruteforce, but have any of you tried it on a conquer ID to hack the pass?
(no im not talking about physically bashing ur computer to get it)

personally, i actually hate it when people hack into other peoplz accounts. But, i was wondering if anyone had tried these methods?

A brute force attack is a method of hacking a password by trying a large number of possibilities.
It enters every possible password and in theory, a brute force attack will always be successful. But as the length of the password increases, so does the number of possible passwords.

So in other words, its a program that hacks someones password by trying every possible combination.
I have heard that playstation 3's can be used to hack a password at least 3 times faster than a computer can. Simply by formatting it, installing windows and then using bruteforce.

But my question is, has anyone tried this? Or even thought about this?
Note: im not saying i wanna do this, but im just interested in the concepts.

NOTE: I know like 10 different peoplz ID's in my server
And its pretty easy to get a person's ID, just pretend ur gonna buy their account...blah blah blah. DONE

Ive also seen a method where a person has made the loading screen load in less than 1 second.

So with these things, you know the ID, you know the server, and the loading screen has no lag.

Could be possible, however if you're trying the method on the client itself, it'll take lots of time since if you log too fast, there is a time you have to wait till you can even try to log again. :P

Been there, done that, give up now,,, the PS3 thing you heard was a lie, any "Clean" fresh installation of windows that isnt clusterd by a fragmented harddrive or useless dlls loading or even services that are pointless would speed the performance up.

Also, if yourd put the for thought in, yourd realise what others who've been down this line have, each account is server bound, so after your *** days/weeks/ trying to find the correct pass, even if u do, u have to find the real server before the person (* who each time you connect to server your disconnecting *) notices and a) gets p*ssed of b) changes the pass...

And thats just the FIRST hurdle...

If u get the wrong pass 5 times u get ure account blocked untill next server maintanence... + u have to w8 like 10 sec after u get the wrong pass... if u fiind a way to bypass this new logg on maybe u have a chance

hmmmmm think simple.....hacking sometimes you have to sit back....and think simple..doing it on the game trying to sign on...yea you would run into that problem....but just go the the website using a proxy (so you dont get your ip ban ) and use it there in the change password part (have it rember the password then....if it was me i would change it back....u still know know what server they are on) just try to sign into each server....if the "make new char shows up....u know thats not the server)

but...why cheak all servers if you dont play on them...not like u could get locked times....but you could hope for dbs


just one promble to your hole thought tho......
ok the password thing is no big deal...but you dont know what there logon ID is.....so...u would need to try to fig that one out......

you could just ask the person how many characters there password has? and the fist and last letter? most people wont suspect a thing, no matter what you say, you ask someone and see there answer..

If the person is stupid enough to give this info they deserve to lose their gear.
