OK I think that this has nothing to do with conquer ur right, but if ur family does not have ties to terrorists then u should have no problem getting in. But the FBI will definitely do a detailed and very indepth background check including but not limited to talking to ppl who know u. I went into navy in 1989 requiring a security clearance and the FBI interviewed some relatives and friends and even visited the high school I graduated from to interview teachers and staff. So point is. U can get in every level of government. You were born in USA it doesn't matter ur religion, u are a US citizen. So don't be afraid of opportunity. Heck as a US citizen you could run for president.
Being muslim isn't necessarily a bad thing. The stigma is attached b/c of muslim extremists.
