Hex Editing .DAT files i have some ?'s

hi guys i just got hex workshop so that i'd b able to make my own itemtype and stuff like that but i'm a little confused at what everything means in the files themselves so i'm not sure what to edit yet cause i can't find what it is that i want to edit. a general guide or maybe some helpfull tutoring would b extremely welcomed

You dont edit ItemType.dat in a hex editor. You need to decrypt it with "DeEn" (Search for that). Then you need to make a program which can edit the file in the way you want it too, otherwise you will be at ure computer for hours/days on end to get 1 file finished.

you should also tell him if he uses DeEn he has to rename itemtype.dat to monster.dat then decrypt - edit - encrypt - then rename back to itemtype.dat,
right

(its not as hard as it sounds)
and also if you use a itemtype.dat that is already edited,make sure you use one by a known/trusted member of EPvP(like hiyoal's i think he can be trusted

)
(old scam of changing itemtypes ofcorse)

found it but when i un zipped it into my ini file it keeps saying that it can't find monster.exe ..... idk what to do now
