Lets talk, about SV and cracking

I've been absent for a few months, came back to see that cracking SV is no longer allowed on elitepvpers, lets talk about this.

First off, ScriptVessel in itself is not a legal program. It is created in china, and in china there are gaming laws which prohibit the creation and distribution of unauthorized botting programs, to the likes of ScriptVessel. This makes SV itself an illegal program, and any and all copyrights held my SV are therefore null and void.

I can understand not wanting people to directly post cracked SV exe and dll files, that I can understand. What I can't grasp is that its against the rules here at elitepvpers to release guides to let people crack SV.

First off, releasing directly cracked programs is illegal, but only when the program itself hold a direct copyright.

Second, it is perfectly 100% legal to release cracking guides for any programs that may hold a copyright, this is because it does not require the direct distribution of any modified files, its simply put, a DIY guide on how to do it yourself, requiring you to find a source for the files you wish to crack.

Now, seeing as how its perfectly legal to post a guide on cracking a legally protected program that has valid copyrights, why is it then against the rules of elitepvpers to post a guide on cracking a program that is not legally protected? This makes absolutely no sense to me.

It makes no difference to me either, because I have a subscription to SV myself, but this all just seems like a load of bullshit to me. The only conclusion I can arrive at is that 9net9 has handed out life subscriptions to elitepvpers co mods and or staff members in exchange for not allowing the distribution of cracking guides for the software.

Its ridiculous, because its legal to post a guide on the internet of how to crack a legally protected program, yet SV itself is not legally protected because it cannot legally hold a copyright in china, and therefore anywhere else. So, what is the justification here? I would prefer if mods would step into this discussion with me, and try to justify their rules, which seem to make absolutely no sense whatsoever.

I will laugh if in the end 9net9 truly comes out and admits to being a branch of TQ then all these people that say they're so great will eat their words :[

Yeah well it is cheap I know, I subscribe to it myself, its actually 3.99 usd monthly. I don't think this is an issue of "respect", simply because cracks were allowed for a long time, and then DIY guides were allowed for a long time, but now, nothing is allowed. Makes no sense to me. Makes no difference either because I subscribe to sv, but still, the DIY at least should be allowed here, there is no legal problems for it. The only thing that comes to mind is certain mods got a life subscription to SV.

ok i can see the sense in your arguement but elitepvpers and their GM's/mods w.e. have the right to ban anything they dont want on this site. I say if someone wishes to crack SV then spend 2 weeks with cheat engine and learning assembly/machine code, and do it themselves.
i myslef cannot do it nor can i be bothered to learn lmao, but i dont see why people should do a lot of work just to allow people to leech of them.
AND.....9net9 have done a hell of a lot of work making SV, and continue to do a hell of a lot when TQ decides to patch, so why shouldnt they be allowed a little bit of money for their efforts rather than havving to worry about crackers and the like

I have also purchased a subscription for SV and it is cheap, but i would have done that regardless if it was on elitepvpers or not.

some people just dont have the money or are too young to even be able to buy it. i think elitepvpers should allow DIY guides back because it is unfair for these users.

i also am starting to believe 9net9 has influenced elitepvpers into banning guides from their forum somehow (money, free subscriptions) etc.

If the reason was out of pure respect, then cracks and DIYs would never have been allowed on elitepvpers, but they were allowed, for a very long time until recently. Also, just because there is an available crack or DIY does not mean 9net9 won't make any money, or even lose very much. Most of us that are old enough, and can afford it will happily purchase it for a number of reasons, such as how cheap it is, the added support versus a crack, not having to run 2-3 cheat engine scripts to crack the bot and additional scripts per client, and so on.

Agreed.

Mods? lets talk about this. If you have been somehow influenced by 9net9 with subscriptions, be honest, and we will understand completely, and comply with your rules with understanding. If you try to say its purely out of respect, that simply will not hold up given the past allowance of SV cracks.

I am sure that SV crack is in the underground as most if not all of the actuallt working good hacks to the game.

Where is every one from the good old Conquer Hackers, most (not all) of the don't ost any more or even update their good programs. (again not all of them).

Since I have actually changed the direction of this post so now I vote for the closing of the Underground. (WHO IS WITH ME... ).

all people answer with respectful manners and productive answers
besides, all programs that developed in there, mostly will come out public eventually
just that its not open source like underground
