Hacked Items

I heard once that if you get hold of a hacked item, just change the + on it and it wont be counted as a hacked item anymore if tq decide to do anything about it.

Was wondering if this as true, and also if it is, does it work with changing the enchantment.

Nope, it's not true. Each item has a unique item ID that doesn't change no matter what you do to the item.
