Conquer-Europe stops.
Conquer-Europe perhaps the best private server after QO, has stopped.
Conquer-Europe called CoEU from this moment on.
We as a team had a lot of fun with entertaining all of our players for one year.
CONV, one of the parts of CoEU, was one of the first CoEMU based private servers which came online. The server counted out 5-6 active programmers, some of them are mentioned in the special thanks list under this story. And was one of the CoEMU based server with an actual playeble server. At one moment the server counted 70 players a day and the server was being called a success.
Then one of the programmers changed the server password trough remote desktop and the server owners, Belgarion and Forced where forced to push the big red stop button. Which triggered an ESD (electrostatic discharge) and the 2 of the hard disks got heavily damaged. Lucky we where able to restore the data because of the raid setups on the server. Although Windows wasn't
able to be repaired. One of the cables which connected the CD-Drive to the motherboard got damaged to. These cables are being produced anymore and hard to come by. There for the server wasn't able to be reinstalled.
CONV forum was being attacked by spam bots, people left. CONV stopped.
Then Co-Germany come up with an idea. This Idea was being called Conquer-Europe. CoEU started out as a merge between CONV an CoGermany. Our goal was to finish the COEMu sources. We already had a far more advanced source brought from CONV then anny other COEMU based project, by the time we started CoEU. CoEU had to be the server with the most players, excellent player service and a lot of new things within Conquer Online. CoEU had to had more players online then Qonquer-Online.
CoEU had a lot of player entertainment, custom NPC's for nice quest and alot of funny events where good prices could be obtained. CoEU also was a server with alot of idea's and insane goals. A couple of goals:
-Custom client!: which was done like 2-3%. We where able to make a connection to our server and send some player information.
-Custom server: This server had to had custom graphics, custom maps, custom wapeons and custom monsters. 20% done.
The plans of CoEU was to run 2 servers. A CO-replica and a custom server. The server we where running in the beginning was a mix of custom and replica.
Due the fact that me, Titanium, and StarCelli don't got anytime left to run the project we decided to stops with it, FOR NOW! Perhaps we will be back later on.
I cannot run CoEU by my self at this point. My private life is getting to take more and more of myself, i barely got time left to sleep.
From this moment on CoEU no longer exist. Perhaps we restart it later on.
The rights for CoEU remain with me, StarCelli and Raven.
The source we had on CoEU isn't being shared with public resources.
There are some people who do have our source codings. I would like to request you not the share these source codes with the open public. These sources aren't so stable and sharing then with other public resources would give your self 2000 hours explaining and answering questions.
