Editing gold out of itemtype

Editing gold out of itemtype

How do i edit the gold out of the itemtype files?

use a1blasters edited one without gold,i belive just taking the gold out will still leave "coins" on the ground..

And yeh it does.. i was also gonna ask how to get rid of gold from your interface.. if possible at all..

I messaged him about it.
I know you edit the mapiconinterface and the str file as well, but im not too sure what to open the files with.. imma just wait for a reply

Well you need to edit:
itemtype.dat, to get rid of the money item names on screen.
MapItemIcon.Ani, to get rid of the graphics on map.
StrRes.ini, this gets rid of the coins reference.

ItemType.dat:
  • Use to decrypt to a text file (itemtype.dat >>-> itemtype.txt).
  • Open in your favorite text editor.
  • Look for or search the money items entries.

  • But a single space for item name.
  • Looks like this example (Silver).

  • Do this for each money item you don't want to show.
  • Encrypt back to a .dat file (itemtype.txt >>-> itemtype.dat).
MapItemIcon.Ani:
  • Open in your favorite text editor (Either by dragging and dropping into the editor that you use or right clicking and selecting open with the editor that you use).
  • Now look for or search for the money item number.
  • We'll use the silver item (1090000).

FrameAmount=1
Frame0=data/MapItemIcon/1090000.dds
  • Now change the FrameAmount to zero.
  • That is the switch. (1=display,0=don't display).
Code:

FrameAmount=0 [B][I][U][COLOR=green]<-<< change this.[/COLOR][/U][/I][/B]
Frame0=data/MapItemIcon/1090000.dds
  • Look up each item number you don't want displayed and change it to 0.
  • Save the file with .ani on end.
StrRes.ini:
  • Open in your favorite text editor (Either by dragging and dropping into the editor that you use or right clicking and selecting open with the editor that you use).
  • Look for or search the word coins.

  • Now delete coins.

Doing this doen't get rid of it completely though.
If you run your mouse over it, the cusor will change to a hand for picking it up.
The game still knows the item is still there.
Also you'll see alittle star whizz around where the item is.
I havn't found where that is yet, so can't get rid of that yet.

So will it reduce lag when powerleveling in places like Bird Island?

Thanks a1, 1 question.. I got the source file, but im a little confused about the destination file. Can j00 help me?


Also, do you know how i can ake it NOT D/C when i jump with my robot edit? I went into the filre "TransForm" and changed the jump to 2 of all the things that had "0" for jump, so now yo can jump while in any transformation that i know of so far(E.g: SugarPlumFairy)
But when i jump with Exp skill transformations it D/C's me.(E.g:Robot,Fishy)

I never went and tested it there to see if it did cut lag.
I had just did testing to see if it worked, didn't care about the lag.
It was requested to me to get rid of the gold and normal items so there would be less clutter on the ground when hunting with a archer.

@chicken guy: yeh it dooes get rid of a good bit of the lag
