You might try removing the uninstall info from the add/remove control panel.
You'll need a program that has access to the info.
I know
Spybot search and destroy has a tool for doing this.
There are other programs out there that can do this.
After installing
Spybot goto
Tools,
Uninstall info.
Look for the
Conquer2.0 entries or what ever the name of the program is that your having problems with.
It may look like this:
Quote:
Conquer 2.0 1.000.00 ({B6060381-5C28-4F86-A31A-B5ADA7A1BD8D})
version: 16777216
install location: D:Conquer 2.0
uninstall cmd: RunDll32 C:PROGRA~1COMMON~1INSTAL~1PROFES~1RunTime91Intel32 Ctor.dll,LaunchSetup "C:Program Files InstallShield Installation Information{B6060381-5C28-4F86-A31A-B5ADA7A1BD8D}setup.exe" -l0x9
|
Take note of that info and goto that directory in quotation marks and delete the info there too.
C:\Program Files\InstallShield Installation Information\{B6060381-5C28-4F86-A31A-B5ADA7A1BD8D}\
Yours might have different number at the end but may look similar.
In my case I would have to delete the
{B6060381-5C28-4F86-A31A-B5ADA7A1BD8D} folder.
Another method would be look at the
setup.ini file in each directory in the
C:\Program Files\InstallShield Installation Information\ folder using a text editor.
One of setup.ini files will make reference to
Code:
AppName=Conquer 2.0
CompanyName=Conquer 2.0
CompanyURL=http://www.Conquer.com
That would be the directory to delete.
