Problem GetDeviceCaps() HELP ME

hi guys
i need u to help me i got the problem with
CD3D_Shell::BuildDeviceList() that is what i says at the top
GetDeviceCaps() failed! that is what i click 4 times
and then it says
IDS_APP_SHUTDOWN_1 that comes and combat arms closes so PLEASE help me


i ALREADY installed combat arms 3 times again
so please help me what to do

habe grad eben windows neu installiert gleich CA rauf und es funzt net^^
also eben erst installiertl.

i think i have done that all new drivers :
i have been on the official acer site to download the newest drivers i have a
Acer Aspire 5732Z

my little bro can play all the time and we bought our laptops at same time
and we even got the same and he just can play it all

Okey.. I fixed it this way:
I deinstalled all drivers. So i had the standart Windows 7 Drivers(maybe wont work at Win XP)
Then i deinstalled kaspersky internet security 2011, installed Avira AntiVir Free..
AND I UPDATED MY WINDOWS.. with the new drivers for my hardware it hasn´t work, but with standart win7 drivers it works...
Mh.. Do u use GameBooster 2.0 ?? try to play without it...

so it is all about the virus scan?

No, but by me it was (maybe) cause KASPERSKY. With Avira it works.

Das hier hast du aif der ersten seize geschrieben und jetzt hast du gesagt du hättest die treiber auf standart zurück gesetzt und kaspersky deinstalliert wenn du aber win deinstallierst sind deine treiber auf standart und du hast auch dein kaspersky deinstalliert

The problem means that the game can't find the graphics capacyties. this is a problem with the graphics driver. download your craphics drivers from the producer site and if you choosen the right driver and it still won't work, try one of windows update.
i had this problem with others PCs and first i didn't understand, but now is all right

(if this will not help, reinstall windows, because in this case you have really special programms installed wich you should't need)
