Well I could have used my own dlls or tools to hook winsock on a specific game. But why should I reinvent the wheel ?
WPE is a good tool to monitor packets, at least when we're talking about stuff that is handeled on this board. If there's a better tool, just tell me

And to use private tools for public tutorials doesnt fit much... People would not be able to try the tutorial on their own so good.

now.... One more thing pls :
idownloaded the WPE but ist doesnt work !
A windows security device blocks WPE from starting .
it says : windows cannot access the specified device path or file.You may not
have the appropriate permission to access the item.
what can i do ?
no other programm was ever blocked like this...

I can't sniff a few games. as some one else posted, I think it's sniff-protected for any vulnerable thing they could do by changing the game exes. not sure it's the problem though.

i've been trying to sniff swsro packets, but i cant find the right program to do it, in ecsro, i used to use projecthax analyzer, but in swsro, everytime i try to inject a packet using it, the client crashes, i tried to use edx33 also, but i couldn't make it work also
any idea ?

Ok i am interested in learning how to sniff packets, what program do i need to use and how to start doing it, obviously it is hard to start with kal since it is cripted data, bla bla...
Since i am dumb and don't know much about it is there a site or is there a tutorial here on epvp that i can use?
From what i understand packet sniffing is easy if the packets are not cripted and if there is no or low security on the game you are trying to sniff.
Since i don't even know what to ask could...
