Not to bump such an old post, but this guy literally had a middleman and as much as as he wanted to compile and test the entire source on his own device before I received any payment.
Not many people are willing to send the entire project, and while at the time I'm sure it felt like a perfect win-win situation, it quickly fell apart after he decided to tell me last-minute that is was in-fact not a developer at all, and after realizing he didn't understand how the debugger works I decided there was nothing more I could do.
As I'll tell everybody, I don't sell source code to random people with money.
I'll gladly teach newer developers a new engine, or even spoonfeed how to update the source. But that unfortunately wasn't the case here. At the end up the day, the customer compiled and tested a cheat with all of the features that were listed. I did my job.
