Put the .zip file in the conquer directory and click extract here.
The actual file (simpleshadow.dds) needs to go in Conquer 1.0\data\pic\shadow\
Maybe I should edit the attachment to prevent people leeching.

What's the difference with that and regular shadows?
also there's no shadow folder in /data/pic?

The regular shadows "dont exist". Well, they arent in the folder, you have to unpack the file from data.wdf
You can edit the file as you want, I just done the difficult part of unpacking it. If you want the original shadow file to play with here.

I didn't plan to do this afer seeing your post. I just accidentally found the texture file when messing about with the packed files.

A dust hack may be possible, maybe you can try some messing around.
I'd start with ActionMap3DEffect.ini and go from there.
If you need any particular files unpacking from data.wdf or c3.wdf just pop me a msg.
