.C3 EDITS! Against the rules

I don't see why this thread hasn't been closed yet.

He did it one of two ways, .dds edit or just edited the photos in photoshop.

He didn't do a .c3 edit because if he did TQ would most likely sue his *** for stealing their plugin.

ummmm, no, the plug in works, perfectly. Im not saying what he did when he posted it was actually a c3 edit, but it is for sure possible now, tho, exporting a c3 out to obj breaks the UVW coords and messes with the animation for the weapon, so you have to redo the UVW's, its actually much easier just to make new objects from scratch, and the meshes are better quality anyway, if you make your own that is. When the game was created and most of the meshes optimized for online play, many ppl didnt have the PC's that are available today, so they are very low poly, with no smoothing done to them. Check my thread for examples of what the team I'm on is doing now if you like.

yes, but keep in mind you cant do .c3 edits (with exception of 2-4ppl) but you can make new meshes with 3DS Max 5 or 7 with the .c3 plugin and some transported .dll's

i can do edits, for sure, but again i prefer to make from scratch since we can have a higher poly count now, plus its just one more thing of TQs that we dont have to use, as a team looking at a total conversion that is.

lol for .c3 they are right here in this thread; photoshop, GIMP, paint.net....they can all edit .dds
