As said before, Conquer models are really low-polys, we are trying to "hide" our poorly detailed models with higher quality textures, so textures are really really important.
On the left, mine & on the right, yours
Always try to optimize the space of your file, 512*512 isnt much so try to use the maximum out of this space to have a higher-detailed texture
Also try not to modify the weapon shape in the texture so that you can still model the weapon out of your texture file, for a more accurate model ^^
About your 3D model itself, it's really low poly, good job !
However you should try to make a more detailed weapon with more polys, i'd say you can go up to 800 polys easily.
Here's a picture on how i'd have organized my model, each color representing a different object
Purple: Box
Red: Box
Green: Box
Pink: Pyramid
Yellow: Either a box or a cylinder
Cyan: Box, not a pyramid
Red object might be more complex to "sculpt" but its worth it for the general weapon shape to be realistic.
To finish, keep in mind that a sword is sharpy it's supposed to cut, not to stun like planks or clubs or .. baseball bat !
To make your sword part sharp, nothing easier.
Select the outer polygons of your sword box, and scale them in =)
