starting edits

ok ive been wondering how to edit conqueronlines garments and such for a while.
so today i finnaly went and downloaded everything i need to edit
i have photoshop
the addon that lets me see dds files
is there any other files i need to be a good editor
also when i open a file it comes up like this


why is it all scrambled like that
someone help me out im trying to learn and im not being stupid about it
at least i tried on my own first most people just post a thread that says help then says how do i edit stuff
so yeah lol

Thats what a skin file is supposed to look like. What I usually do is take a screenie in game of what I want to edit and flip between the skin file and the screenie to find out where everything is.

You can also look up some photoshop guides on how to do stuff, and use those techniques to make your edits. There are guides on this forum too if you have the time to search for em.

ive done some reserch and ive figured out how to edit armors easily
but i still dont quite understand how to change the super effects

can you help me out on the super efects of any wepon?

I haven't done effects too much rlly, just 2nd rb vigors. I like doing garment edits mostly. lol TQ's garments suck. I make them better.

They're in the CO>C3>texture folder.

i new that but i dont know there file names
i know all the armor names and all the wepon names but i dont know random stuffs names like gards and stuff like that

just get a dds thumbnail viewer and you can tell them apart quite well with just looking at them.

Super effects are found in c3>effects(DUH!).There's a big list in the pimp my conquer thread,or you just go cofusion and search for the thread made by vsa himself
