Cool Gem picture alternatives. Patch 5007

Are you looking for Gem picture alternatives?

If so you came to the right thread.

Here you go.
BallGems = Dragonballs for gems
BigGems = Has bigger Gems
GiftGems = GiftBags for Gems

The MapItemIcon.Ani file goes in your *\Conquer 2.0\ani\ folder.

There are other ways of doing it, but this is the easiest.
See which one like.

Upadted for patch 5007 now!

All you have to do is take the MapItemIcon.Ani and compare the two with a hex editor.
Then make the changes from the gem edited one to the itemtype edited one.

Does it also change the name when its on the ground?
if not.... a1blaster, can u change the name of the gem also while its on the ground with the name GiftBox.... so I can type just one word on SV rather than putting all the names on what to pick up!

Thanks for your continued help and ideas. To make the big gems did you just change the dds file and make it larger or did you have to alter another file? I want to do the same thing to Mets, DBs and Gift Bags. Your size was perfect.

Plus how did you get it compressed back into an ani file? I have been search all over and can only find wdf extraction programs not wdf compression programs.

Nope no need to edit the gem pictures.
This is just a .ani file edit.

Example of the Pheonix gem normal:
Code:
[700001]
FrameAmount=1
Frame0=data/MapItemIcon/700000.dds
[700002]
FrameAmount=1
Frame0=data/MapItemIcon/700000.dds
[700003]
FrameAmount=1
Frame0=data/MapItemIcon/700000.dds
My BIG Pheonix gem:
Code:
[700001]
FrameAmount=1
Frame0=data/ItemMinIcon/700000.dds
[700002]
FrameAmount=1
Frame0=data/ItemMinIcon/700000.dds
[700003]
FrameAmount=1
Frame0=data/ItemMinIcon/700000.dds
At least for gems the ItemMinIcon dds pictures are bigger then the MapItemIcon pictures.

Also I have updated the files posted in the frist post for patch 5007 now.

So you just moved the ItemMinIcon dds into the MapItemIcon folder since they have the same name? How did you compress it back into an ani file?

ive had the same idea and i replaced gems and other effects there, eudemons gems look good too
