First of all , your going to need these files :
AppServ (NB! REMEMBER THE PASSWORD YOUR GOING TO SET UP ON THIS INSTALL) :
Navicat MySQL (incase localhost/phpmyadmin doesn't work) : Source :
Now , if you have DOWNLOADED & INSTALLED all those programs , open up either localhost/phpmyadmin (insert in address bar) or Navicat MySQL (if phpmyadmin doesn't work)
If localhost/phpmyadmin then ,
create a new database named "coproj" (without the quotes) & import the backup.sql file in the source
If Navicat MySQL
create a new connection named whatever you want it to be , user name is root and password is the password u set up at installing AppServ , host is localhost . if done , double click the connection u just made and right-click create a new database named "coproj" first font thingy is utf8 other utf8 general . now if the database is created right click and execute file , now choose the backup.mysql somewhere it the source folder .
Creating a account in phpmyadmin
go accounts click browse and click insert
accountname : what ever u want
logontype : 2
status : 7 for PM , 8 for GM , 0 for normal player
Creating a account in Navicat MySQL
go tables > accounts > and click a line and
accountname : what ever u want
logontype : 2
status : 7 for PM , 8 for GM , 0 for normal player
Now to the connecting part , go source folder , bin > debug , open up config file and change the ip to ur ip
and server name places to ur server name u want .If u want to edit stuff download
if u want edit the servers name to ur server name go client.cs ctrl+f and search cov2 and replace with ur server name same in assemblyinfo.cs .Put server online go bin > debug dblclick coserverproject and it should be online , if other ppl cant login , ur going to need hamachi which you can dl here :
, register to hamachi and open it up make a server and copy ur hamachi ip to bin > debug > config file ip place and if other players wanna play they need hamachi too and join ur network . kthxbai this was my guide , if it helped you , pls press "Thanks" next to quote buttons under my current post .BTW i chose CoV2 source cuz it has working exppot and godbless and that stuff that most LOTF sources dont have .
