leavemealone I dont know any way to find patch number, but if you make a copy of your conquer folder, install the latest Qo patch to it, you could determine if its the latest patch thats failing to work.

Well i know my server does not work on Latest Conquer Patch.

NOTE: I have no Qonquer Patches, Just the Standard Qonquer Client!

is there like another copy of this or something. this doesnt build on visual C# 2008 give errors only builds on 2005

for testing purposes i download the Qo client, not the Qo patch that you copy over your regular conquer files, although there probably the same thing.
Still getting same error.

i figured it out simple had to set the game port in start.cs to 9958 and set my account and auth in the mysql to 1 till i created a charector. everything works now thanks wasnt a client issue as i first thought.

nope thats the way it came i had to fix alot of stuff to get it up but i got it up and working you might want to tell people how to fix it cause thats the fix.

OK I am getting the same error I think most of us are having I edit the database.cs file and inputed the code line 39 as root and line 40 as nosferatu and then I did the code line 44 as conquer_server just like it says. I look for the build command and I could find it in c#. I had to go to view toolbar and the click on build but the build, build soultions and canel buttons are not highlight and it is not letting me build it. So I don't know if that is a problem or not. I saved it so I don't know if that cause a problem. SO when I go to bin folder then x86 the debug and then CoSever.exe it open the cmd promt window and says the user name and password are not correct and does the error box and closes out. When I installed the program you told us about as severname I did the localhost. On my php sever ip I am using 192.168.1.100 sine I am on a router. could that have anything to do with it? so I use my wireless modem address. or could it bee something esle? I hope I gave enough info

One other thing where do I get the qconquer client from is it on ELitepvpers some where?

Cane i told ya how to fix it its easy man open Start.cs in the main folder look and you will see this line public const int GAMEPORT =5820; what ya do is simple change that to public const int GAMEPORT = 9958; then rebuild it and it should let you connect make sure you set your account to 1 if you making a new charector then it should work for you no problem.

Wow this is a vanilla source to say the least need to script the monsters in by hand thats gonna be fun but on the plus side guilds and the shops work so i guess thats a bonus. I gotta give ya props on the npc thing though being able to edit it well still in the game rocks.
