Where to start?

Knowledge: Java, Android API, PHP, Objective C, C, basics of x86 assembly in Intel syntax, familiar with networking and its layers and protocols. Programming experience 3-4 years. Mostly PHP and Java. Whats the start point to begin with this stupid game programming ? Sorry if duplicate. Best regards.

I'm planning to write a command line proxy bot so mainly packet sniffing, (de)en-crypting, modifying them. Are old good tools like tcpdump, ngrep, nmap enough start with ? What about encryption/decrytion ? What algorythms do they use to decrypt/encrypt packets ? Are there any tools written by others to help somehow in the way I want to go ?

I'd recommend another game. This community doesn't usually work with the most up-to-date client. The people who do work with that client would have to respond to this thread, and that wouldn't be me.

He'd be on his own anyway since nobody shares such information these days anyway.

The way forward is reverse engineering.
