I would suggest you look in the help file for all functions you are needing help with. MouseClick is one of the basic simple functions of AutoIt and it can easily be understood through the help file.

As for IniReading, use the "IniRead" function. Yes the file saves to the same directory as the Compiled Exe but that can easily be changed.

Ive already put in comments the explanation about the [ACTIVE] title...but ill explain it again.

Your script will...
Code:
Wait until an instance of conquer is "Active"
Wait a few seconds
Then Change the title of the "[ACTIVE]" window to the variable $clients
[ACTIVE] is a title which (inside the program) find the Title of the ACTIVE WINDOW!!
Thought Id put Exclamation marks for Importance xD

With _IsPressed....Once again, Look in the Help File!!! Its your best friend with learning AutoIt...Its the only way I taught myself.
User32.dll also comes with every computer.

With $nMsg stuff, look through the help file on GUI. Also please read my guides on AutoIt as you seem to be very rusty at GUI.

The function your friend put in there basically made a message pop up after all the x and y coordinates were gathered displaying "Do you want to close this program". His script also grabbed the x and y values in a matter of seconds, not giving the user time to place the character in the correct coordinates. My method incorporates the user to click, and when they do it records the coordinates.

I could go on for a long time, but this project would pretty much become my own, Ive got to leave you to do some research by yourself on the functions of AutoIt. Look through the Help File, look through my tutorials and UPSMans and ask and read questions on the AutoIt forums.

Any other questions I will be able to help you with, but when it comes to questions which suggest that I need to pretty much make a new concept I really cant help at the moment because Im about to face my Final Year Exams. Studying like crazy atm...
Maths Methods, Specialist Maths, English, Physics, Chemistry.

GAH!! got to get 70% or over for Methods, Physics and Chemistry... Should be easy though.

Hope that info helps you out a bit.
Hiyoal
I'm gonna first say I was bed ridden Friday with a 110 temp and throbbing headache... I'm not really feeling the utmost best so PLEASE just help me out... And no, the _IsPressed is not anywhere to be found... I searched on the AutoIt forums and the AutoIt help file... There are no guides on how to use this so I have NO idea what it does inside the ( )... And yea MouseClicks are the most easiest functions of AutoIt but there is no guide anywhere that deals with mathematical functions on how to get closer and closer to a coordinate that is far away... I don't think I could just do this code because it wouldn't be able to search that on the conquer screen with just a MouseClick function:

Code:
If $pointx < Or > $readx Then
Send({Ctrl})
MouseClick("left", $readx[0], $readx[0]) <-- First X coord on the Ini
EndIf
I don't think the MouseClick could find where $readx is on the screen... I would think you would have to do some math equation that gets you closer and closer every check it makes. I could be wrong :S

Also MouseClick("left", $readx[0], $readx[0])... How would this be able to read the Ini file that [0] is the first x written down, [1] is the second written down, [2] is the 3rd written down, and so on... Does the Ini file assign [0] (etc) to each new x that is put in there?

None of this stuff is anywhere that I can read up on so thats why I NEED your help... I only have a few things left and I'll leave you be... I just expect help on these last few things and I'll be on my way... I would think you, being an AutoIt coder and a Mod, would be more than happy to help a noob coder as myself, but I guess I could be wrong. :S

Na na, youve misunderstood me
I wasnt being critical towards what you were doing I was just trying to help you out because thats the way I increased my knowledge of coding, by getting through the tough stuff by thinking of different ways.
But anyhow, now I see what you are trying to do, and it is pretty difficult.

Evanxxxm had the boundary function for his ELSE bot which ran on vectors. I have no idea how this function works btw.

About the IniFile, this is what it basically does.
Note: Results taken from the program you posted, but using mouse X and Y coordinates when mouse click is pressed.
Code:

y1=360

		Switch $nMsg
			Case $GUI_EVENT_CLOSE
$ans = MsgBox(33,"Close","Do you really wish to close?")

Why not use this code in the actual program?? No use for the Msgbox(33,"Close","Do you really wish to close?")

Func On()
    If $start=true Then

EndFunc

Func Pause()
If $Pause=true Then
	$Pause=False
Elseif $Pause=false Then
$Pause=True
EndIf
EndFunc

So now all you need to do with reading the X Values and Y Values is something which incorporates this idea.
Code:
$x=0
$walkthrough=1
$Title=IniRead("Coords.ini","Title","Number","error") ;Error means that if the value cannot be read it will return error. This can be harnessed when dealing with INI Errors.
If $Title="Error" then
Msgbox(0,"","Please Check that Coords.ini is in the same directory as this script...Program will exit after you press OK.")
        Exit
EndIf
While 1
If $x=$Title Then ;Checks to see whether to read up more or not. If the number of clients is 3 and x=1 then it will run through until x=3 so that then it doesnt read "Unknown" data from a file.
;This is because when the values were written, Title was given how many clients they read.
		Msgbox(0,"","All values read")
		exit
else
	Do
	$readxvalue=IniRead("Coords.ini",$x+1,"x"&$walkthrough,"")
$readyvalue=IniRead("Coords.ini",$x+1,"y"&$walkthrough,"") ;Use $x=0 at the start and then use $x+1 to stop confliction at the start of the script where it will say if there are only 1 clients in the ini "All Values Read"
	Msgbox(0,"","Readvalue returned: ("&$readxvalue&","&$readyvalue&")")
	$walkthrough=$walkthrough+1
Until $walkthrough=16
$walkthrough=1
$x=$x+1
EndIf
Wend
If you do not understand something, let me know....Im always able to help out and I didnt mean to sound as if this was a pain to be doing something for someone else.

Also for _IsPressed, this is the whole page taken from the help file. Dont know why yours doesnt have it

I'm gonna read up on this later, my throat is sorer than ****... I did read the first paragraph:

Quote:

About the IniFile, this is what it basically does.
Note: Results taken from the program you posted, but using mouse X and Y coordinates when mouse click is pressed.
So you recorded the mouse CLICKS or the Conquer coordinates? Cause I gotta have the Conquer coords which I'm sure you know :P.

And thanks I really appreciate your help... I do understand the theory and running the script in my head, but I'm not always sure how to code it... And from the last 2 weeks I went from going from MouseClicks and PixelSearch to fully functional Memory reading bot (almost )... Anyways, back to my bed until tmr to see if I get better or not .

Thats fine.

I got the coordinates from the MouseClicks which can be seen in the script. You can easily change this to the Conquer Coords though

Well I still feel like **** but by the time I'm better I hope to have my questions answered... Let me tell you, do not ever take swallowing your own saliva for granted... I have a cup by the side of my bed to spit mine out because my throat is so infected... I went to the doctor and they didn't even need to swab me as they could clearly see I had strept throat (however its spelled)...

Anyways, I don't expect you to feel sorry for me... But here is what I'm not understanding why you changed.. :

Code:
			Do
				If _IsPressed(1,$dll)=1 Then
				;$Mem_Handle = _MemoryOpen($PID)

				$recordx = MouseGetPos(0);_MemoryRead($pointx , $Mem_Handle, "")
IniWrite("Coords.ini",$Title,"x"&$do,$recordx) ; Pretty Self Explainatory. Records coords in a ini file which can be
; read afterwards. Writes the $Title Number, Step Number with X and Data
				$recordy = MouseGetPos(1);_MemoryRead($pointy , $Mem_Handle, "")
				IniWrite("Coords.ini",$Title,"y"&$do,$recordy) ; Pretty Self Explainatory...^ Same as ^ but with Y
				$do = $do + 1
				sleep(1000)
				endif

What was wrong with what I add before... The MouseGetPos gets the screens mouse coords... Would I just put in there MouseGetPos($pointx, pointy) ?

Then below that, I'm not quite understanding your script there with the $walkthrough script etc... Its completely different to my script (not saying thats bad :P) but I'm not quite sure where that goes or if I should even use it... My head is not in it utmost shape right now, but I did read through it a few times... Can you explain in more detail what that does and how it should be used in my script? :S

I also noticed you put other variables in there that are not in my script such as the walkthrough and plain $x... Don't these need to be declared?

This is basically all of my troubles of my script, if you can bite your tongue long enough to help with my demanding questions I would most appreciate it :P.

*goes back to bed*

Dude, thats bad as. I really hope you get well soon, it sucks like hell to be really sick.

Well, with your question...
There is nothing wrong with what you had before I just changed it for MouseGetPos because I no longer have Conquer installed on my computer and had to come up with someway of showing and explaining the outputs and writing to INI.

When you're feeling better I have no doubt that you'd be able to read through that first bit of code and understand how it works

Walkthrough script is a INI Reader designed for your program. This is basically what it does.

$x is a variable which has been declared in its own scope. Because there are no functions in my script I do not need to use Dim.
If i was to have Func Something() in my script then I would need to declare variable $x in the same scope and before the "Walkthrough script" was executed. I will explain what variable $x does later in this post

Because the first "Variable Identifier KEY" in the ini file is a 1 [EG (x1=275)] I use $walkthrough as 1 as to incriment it so that the different variables will be read as the script loops through the "Do Until" Function.

$Title gets how many clients were made in the INI which has been set in my last code where I changed the memory functions to MouseClick Functions (Change them back for your bot)
If I had 4 clients where I had taken their coordinates I would have an Ini Which has the Section headings looking like this:
Code:
[1]
[2]
[3]
[4]
So as to loop through those and not continue reading imaginary data as $x is the increment "Timer" I have set
Code:
If $x=$Title Then
Msgbox(0,"","All values read")
		exit
else
This stops the bot running through the number, say, [5] when I clearly only have 4.

You also should notice that at the start $x is assigned the value 0 instead of 1 (It should normally be 1 because the "Section" part of the INI 1+ numbers. Eg [1][2][3][4][5] etc)
If I set $x to 1 and I only had 1 Clients coordinates to read when $title was read, the script would automatically close because it has seen that $x=1 and $title (how many clients coordinates were recorded)=1.
That is why I have set it to 0 but when reading through the INI, set it to $x+1 (This is in the "Section" header of the IniRead() Function.

This then loops through until it gets all 15 values, also note that this will go UNTIL $walkthrough=16...But why is that?!

This is because it needs to read 15 values, and once it grabbed the 14th values and set $walkthrough=14+1 (=15) the script would get to the end of the Do Loop and Go "Omg, $walkthrough has reached 15 which means I should stop looping". This error is accounted for as to set $walkthrough=16 so that the 15th coordinates could be passed through.

This then loops, by resetting $walkthrough=1 and adding 1 to the $x variable. This is so that if you have 4 clients, $x=1 which will not close the program as $title=4 and will read the "Section" 2 because $x+1 is the "Section" identifier.

I hope all of this makes sense, its pretty straight forward when you look through the code and this would be a quick method for your program to read through an ini and get values.

Hope you get better,
Hiyoal

P.S. Keep asking questions, its good for my knowledge aswell, its reminding me and re-teaching me the stuff I used to know

Thanks for your sympathy lol :P... I can't eat anything and thats tough to do after not eating since Friday. (I've gagged down a few jellos and apple sauce but thats about it )

Code:
$x=$x+1
EndIf
Wend
Ok I get this part now, but where does this incorporate in my script?

I noticed that you declared $Title twice:

$Title=IniRead("Coords.ini"

and $Title=WinGet whatever from the previous script...

I see you put back the Do loop... So I'm a bit confused, which script goes where? :S

Also:

Code:
Msgbox(0,"","Readvalue returned: ("&$readxvalue&","&$readyvalue&")")
Is this meant to be used as the MouseClick function right? So I would do something such as: MouseClick("left", $readxvalue, $readyvalue)
(Why are there && before and after the readxvalue and readyvalue?)

-------------
Code:
If $x=$Title Then ;Checks to see whether to read up more or not. If the number of clients is 3 and x=1 then it will run through until x=3 so that then it doesnt read "Unknown" data from a file.
;This is because when the values were written, Title was given how many clients they read.
		Msgbox(0,"","All values read")
		exit
Why do we have to do this? Can't it just be run from the 'active window'? And from what I understand (which is probably wrong anyways) your having it read the x and y values from ALL clients? :S

And last:

Code:
$readxvalue=IniRead("Coords.ini",$x+1,"x"&$walkthrough,"")
	$readyvalue=IniRead("Coords.ini",$x+1,"y"&$walkthrough,"")
Can you explain every written part of that? It looks all mushed together and I think its confusing me... And why don't $x+1 have "" around it? I'm guessing the $walkthrough makes it read the next x next time around (in the script right above)... Right? (Just explain it and I think I'll probably understand it a little better... I hope)

P.S.- I have the latest version of AutoIt, I'm not sure why I don't have the IsPressed function in there :| .

He's right but you need to use

Code:
Opt("MouseCoordMode", 2)
Opt("PixelCoordMode", 2)
To get the right coords etc... These options make the bot read the client area of the conquer window instead of the entire screen... Much better bots/etc if you're using this

No problemo at all... You've helped me almost the entire way through this bot, I already appreciate your help a lot the way it is... Whenever you can help me is fine, you don't need to hurry.

Your probably still busy... But IF by any chance your waiting for my questions I still need help on the ones from above (my big post). No need to hurry though, homework first.

Hello. Im looking for somebody who I could talk to over xfire or msn. I need help getting a bot running. I have botted before, but this time Im stuck and can't get neither TBOT or iSRObot running. Not many people reply at forums and I don't want to spam all over the place. If you could help me PM me or leave your MSN/Xfire/mIRC channel or what ever else here. Thanks.
