Pojerv Proxy

I haven't released anything in long time so I decided to release my proxy. It's not a bot so don't expect any bot functions to be anywhere in the source. The name does not mean anything, so don't ask anything related to the proxy's name.

Works on 5500+ only.

You can use this proxy to sniff packets from retail. It includes a packet editor, and a packet reader that are part of the GUI to make things simpler (Some part of the design is what I've seen at Ultimation's proxy). You can also filter packets by certain IDs, and you can also exclude packets from being added in the packet lists, you can even filter by a value for an offset.

As you move in retail using this proxy it will record all used spells, npc spawns and npc dialogues.

To be able to login you have to set the Auth server port (initial value is 9958), but for Gem World or Wild Kingdom you need to set it 9960. To set the new auth port just change the port and then hit the 'Set' button.

An idea I liked at AlchemyProxy was that it used ports 5000-5003 so that developers could have both server and proxy running at the same time, so I included it here. To be able to login your ConquerLoader's info (LoaderSet.ini)
should look like this:
Code:
[Loader]
IPAddress=YOUR IP(router/hamachi/global IP)
LoginPort=5000
GamePort=5001
Website=http://www.elitepvpers.com
GamePort doesn't really matter, anyway.

The source is released under Ms-PL license. ()
If you chose to use this proxy, I am in no way responsible to anything that might happen to your characters. Assume your risks.

Feel free to ask any questions.

EDIT: Thanks to the mod who moved my thread. My apologies.

Thanks. My packet sniffer is a bit bugged at this time (crash after a certain amount of time), and I just don't want to rework on it, so, it will help me

Not really looked at this but I was thinking of how you could write a realllyy sexy packet sniffer.

I was thinking you could write a full packet structuring tool into a packet logger to let you look at a packet dump, highlight sections of bytes and have it show you

The offset
Value (dec)
Value (string)

and then allow you to assign variable name to this offset.

Allow offset overlap for combine values (Uint value which can be used as 2 ushorts or w/e) and then allow you to 'create packet' which would simply create a simple packet structure with what you've found inside the packet.

It would be quite simple to do but hella useful...

I've never gotten around to having the time and interest to do it but thought I'd suggest it if you plan on continuing your logger dev

Lol...it's already done. You can edit any packet that comes from both sides (you cant stop them from reaching the other side, but you can filter them so they wont show in your list). If you click somewhere in a packet (the packet editor is a textbox) it will show you sbyte,byte,short,ushort,int,uint,long,ulong,char and string (you set the count).
*The packet editor is in hex so you have to write hex.

Yes, it's safe. As long as you don't edit and send packets yourself to the server you are pretty much safe.

Correct me if I am wrong, but being able to send a packet depends on rebuilding it right?

Because the timestamp will cause it to be rejected?

I believe there is no packet counter (like each packet has a counter +1 each time sent or recieved but usually not the same number)

And no, you should be able to send directly without any 'rebuild' (obviously you have to rebuild first to be able to run the proxy because I didn't put any exe in the archive I released).

You have to handle your timestamps on your own (as long as you don't send packets to the server you should be safe - safe as in not going to be botjailed, because only the server has time stamps checks.).
I don't understand what you mean by a counter for each packet or w/e.

Oh I wasn't talking about compiling the exe, thats pretty much self-explanitory. I was actually talking about building a from scratch to be sent.

Ok so for being able to get a time stamp, is it Enviorment.Tick or something else?

The packet counter part I was relating it to another game. I know some of them use packet counter. Each time it's sent and recieved it's incremented by one but I read pro4never's FAQ and there is nothing about that in there so that rules out my question.

I also noticed that the you used a timer to get around the datagridview line problem. I never knew how to get around that lol. Thanks.
