Ya the steed type is determined by those three colors, but i am pretty sure every steed has another 3 random values that are used when breeding to determine the new steed type.

No, the three values aren't "fixed".

Example:
BlackSteed can have the following values: R=0, G=0, B=0
It can also have these values: R=10, G=20, B=10 and still be a BlackSteed
(These values aren't correct, just an example)

The less rare steeds allow a bigger interval in the colors than the rare steeds such as Spitfire, Blazehoof, Zebra, etc. do.

I heard that the lotf packets are very poorly coded, is that true? And what is the downfall of unsafe code? Anyway to convert them to a better coded packet, like "Packet.WriteUint16(X);" instead of the *(p-1) = XXX". i think i might know when it says like "*(p-1) = (uint)XXX" or w/e, but what is its just like *(p-1) = XXX". Is that just WriteByte? That may be confusing, but the first question is what I really wanna know.
