What Is The Vps Conditions To Host 5165 P-Server

Hello, i have a co pserver 5165, well i want to host it in VPS virtual private server

I already hosted it in vpsland.com with

256RAM 500GB Bandwith 20GB space , and the ping was 500~1k~2k

it's horrible, i want to host it and get 100 300ping when 45-80 players Online

so how i need RAM and Bandwith,

where are you guys

ya i think 256 is rly to low for any server i suggest u at least 1gb ram

I think 500GB's should be fine, unless you are storing all your files that people will download on there.. I normally post all my bigger downloads to megaupload to save bandwidth on the vps.

i only put the source in Vps, and an html file (1kb) there, to send you to my website when you execute it

these are only the files that i put

and i'm uploading the client is megaupload and the patches in multiupload

Will It Give a Good Ping (not more than 300 if the player has a good net (2MB/s))
And Is It cheap?

that doesnt seam half bad iv always been fond of using swvps iv used them a few times and never really had uptime issues or ping issues..

It's cheap for sure, should be good enough to hold your server up tho.

Ok I wanna point out...

I was hosting a proxy on my vps and I had like 50+ players and the most I ever used was like 6-7 gig a day (that's a proxy which means MASSIVE SPAMMED PACKETS IN BOTH DIRECTIONS!) so you're not going to go over 500 gig bandwidth in a month unless you start downloading random **** onto the vps yourself.

All you need to worry about is.

#1: source efficiency. If it sucks it will always have bad ping

#2: Server location.

#3: Server uplink/who you are sharing with (some vps are shared across FAR too many ppl)

#4: Ram/processor. If the computer is bogging down cause of an inefficient source or pathetic stats then you will slow things down.


I use swvps and never had a problem. It's cheap and effective.

As me and pro said we have both used swvps and find it to be good with uptime and everything else. I am not sure who the other vps your looking at but you can always run into uptime issues or other things. That I never seamed to have an issue with on swvps so its up to you. They should both run with out any problems if you follow the rules pro posted when it comes to your source.. so I would figure out what vps is closer to your location..
