Dedication to my Best Friend (NPC)

Hey Everyone,
My best friend is fighting in Iraq right now and I want to make an NPC for him that looks like him that stands (or sits) in Twin City. How would I do that? I know how to edit the NPC file so that it says his name and stuff... but what about the mesh AND wearing the cloths? Would it be possible to put cloths on him?

First of all you would need to know how to create 3d.
Then you will need to know how to edit the certain files in the client c3 & ini. Now you will have to make effect on it (Mesh, how it stands what ever).
Is pretty hard, if you dont just edit an old npc :P
But i dont know, im not the best at edits and 3d creations

You seem to be the artist type
You will need to make a .c3 edit for it
But yeah i'm pretty sure its possible
You'll need to edit the ini folder
Ini/npc.ini
Ini/npcx.ini
Ini/NpcX.ini

And the C3 folder

C3/npc/
Then when you make the NPC texture add it n C3/texture with a idea you want blah blah
Just keep in mind you need to make a .c3 edit not just .dds

You could just spawn a npc with his name and search for some 'unknown' npc mesh that wasn't seen ever on any private co server(I'm sure there is)...players need to know about his name and that he is in Iraq not really how he looks

Look at the link, almost every of your threads (2 pages) is requests.

Now, you have some threads left over, which are "releases", but there's no content because you editted it out with "None of you deserve this".

Now, tell me NewDawn, why the hell do you deserve help with most of the things you run into, when you don't think anybody deserve other things?


How about actually learn something, programming for example, then you wouldn't need to make a new thread whenever you run into a problem, this would save you alot of time and us (atleast I) from being annoyed by these kinds of threads (FYI, I have nothing against people asking for help, but you create a thread per day it seems like)

Pardon you? You're the reason why I still haven't updated them. People like you don't deserve it. I help a lot of people- all you have to do is add me on msn. And how dare you bring something up like that when I'm trying to dedicate my server to my friend who is defusing bombs on a daily bases with a 50% chance of dying to protect our (or at least my) nation. Show some respect.

This section has nothing to do with your friend in Iraq. What attempts have you made to solve your problem? What are you stuck on? If you're wanting to customize the texture of an NPC, this should be moved to for closer topic alignment. If you want to spawn a player that looks like his character, then try it. If you are having trouble, show us your attempt, and tell us what you're having trouble with.

@Pete- I don't need to post useless releases to prove myself. What I release and don't release is my business, not your priority. Keep your hate comments off my threads. Keep your cursing to yourself.
