help me to buy a vps

hello every body, im confused between buyin a shared vps or a dedicated server.

also i dont know which processor of thoso are better
CPU : Intel Xeon-E 2274G - 4c/8t - 4 GHz / 4.9 GHz
CPU : Intel Xeon E5-1650v4 - 6c/12t - 3.6 GHz / 4 GHz
CPU : AMD Ryzen 5 3600X - 6c/12t - 3.8 GHz / 4.4 GHz

CPU : AMD Ryzen 5 5600X - 6c/12t - 3.7 GHz / 4.6 GHz

CPU : Intel Xeon E3-1245v5 - 4c/8t - 3.5 GHz / 3.9 GHz
CPU : Intel Xeon-E 2136 - 6c/12t - 3.3 GHz / 4.5 GHz
CPU : Intel Xeon E3-1230v6 - 4c/8t - 3.5 GHz / 3.9 GHz
CPU : Intel Xeon-E 2136 - 6c/12t - 3.3 GHz / 4.5 GHz
CPU : Intel Xeon-E 2386G - 6c/12t - 3.5 GHz / 4.7 GHz

I charge 150$ an hour for consulting fee's. 1 hour minimum charge.
or you could spend 15 minutes googling...

The difference is covered here: . And then in terms of CPU... I have no idea. All of these are bleed-nose expensive and unnecessary for a regular server of like 50-100 people. But then again, idk how bad / slow private servers have gotten. I'd say go for the cheapest. RAM is probably more important. 4-8 GBs (again, no idea how bad servers are now - you might need 8GB+).

At one point I ran primal with 500+ concurrent on a 2 core 4 thread 2ghz 4gb ram machine and it did just fine. also switching to linux helped alot with costs and performance.

Yep, that seems much more reasonable. You were probably pushing the hardware quite a bit at that point, right?

Yeah was pushing it to see how far performance would go with the Linux change and ofc the new task based threading system that I had implemented, gotta say we had zero issues, I only moved it to a different host due to networking issues.
