need some answers can any one ?

hello every body here

i just need some answers about patch 5165 i got a lot of this Sources any one edit them and upload it and all them have the same problem " PK " any character full super +12 damage -7 can take 1 hit from another character have the same stuff or less than and that's wrong can any one tell me if any something to fix this problem or what .

and my second question is how can i add a new language to my privet server chat i need to add Arabic language and it's appear like that " ??????????? "

and the chat don't appear in the chat box .. i see a lot of servers and i was trying to join any server to try to know if it's just my problem or all the others have the same problem so i will wait any one here to answer me coz i know it's the only place i will get my answers ...

a lot of websites copy the Threads from here and make it in other forums but this place have a lot of people can do the best ... best than anywhere ..

Try looking at damage calculations.

You mean for the server itself, or for the game client?

About being able to 1 hit characters, from what I've heard the new source has some REALLY messed up attack calculations. To fix it you will need to re-write the damage calculations and how stats are added.

Make sure that stats are being read from equipment properly (and potency assuming your source is going to be taking pot into account in pvp) including gems, minatk, maxatk, magatk, pdef, mdef, m%def, +atk, +matk, +hp, gems, enchant, bless, etc. They all have to be pulled from character equipment, stored, called and calculated properly or else you will end up with ****** up dmg like the source currently has.

Ooh, also fan/tower would have to be calculated separately in the dmg calculation for it to be 'correct'

It's not the simplest job ever but it should be somewhat straightforward assuming the stats are at least being read properly. There may be some fixes suggested on the forum already so I suggest you look.


As for changing the language used by the client, that's a client side issue and you will have more luck in the client modification subforum I think. It may be something as simple as changing the character set/font that the client is using (I remember changing the font WAS a simple process some time ago but not done it in a year or more so I wouldn't know atm)


best of luck, hopefully someone with more experience with the new source can help you with any of the finer details. I know some of the problems with it but I've never actually used it so my advice is more general rather then specific.

Changing the font of the client may be easy, but not the language.
CO is a translated version of a Chinese MMORPG called 征服, which means to conquer.
The time and effort needed to translate a game entirely to another language would be enormous.

The entire game would take a decent amount of time but most of the data is EASILY translated.

I played the BR official co server for a while and used an english client on it simply by opening up the ini files and using a combination of machine translations, the english client data and personal experience to change things around. Simple .ini edits will solve most of the stuff like system msgs. The interface requires a bit more editing but again, very possible (as demonstrated by full client skins that are all over the place)

What he is looking for though is a way for players to TYPE in Egyptian.

As for the server npcs, he could simply translate those into Egyptian in the source. He just needs the game to read the language properly.

My suggestion would be look Egyptian official conquer client and look through the .ini folder for some clues. It's possible to translate just about anthing in conquer without any problems... it's just alot easier if you have a reference point, the egy client would be a great starting point.

I never knew there was an Egyptian CO =o.
But if OP can find the correct client with matching encryption keys to his source, he might as well be able to login with that client and everything is already done. (Client sided speaking)

The international versions of co are unfortunately all different patch versions so the likelyhood of him finding a fully compatible, completed client that will function 100 percent with an english patch source seems unlikely... but it's worth a try.
