Dude, speak for yourself. I didn't touch that ****** source. Just because what you had was buggy doesn't mean everyone's was. I agree with Cryptous on this one, anyone that is good with coding could fix it, then again, it wouldn't really be considered a Lotf source...

the only failure i see are your statements, LOTF is the opposite from perfect to someone who knows what they are doing. it's great for noobs that don't know how bad it really is.

LOTF is not very buggy, it is unstable.
There aren't many bugs which are hard to fix, only stability will never be fixed without changing the source big times.
About 5165, the passwords haven't got a maximum amount of characters, the register page does, so change that, and if the source does, change it as well, its easy.
5165 ---> nice but Damn 6 max password (100% nice but - 30% the password)
5095 ---> Buggy source (50% nice and 50% Bugs)
5065 ---> LOL, Only TQ has 5065 source (Better to play Real Co than Pserver TQ)
5017 ---> 100% nice and 1% bug

5165 - There is no limit on the passwords you are only limited by the crappy regpage limitations you used.
5095 - morelike 1% bugs if you know what your doing.
5065 - Only the same as TQ because 99% of the noobs running it don't know how to customize it to make it unique and not like tq which can be done if you know how.
5017 - the most unstable source on the planet it has tons of bugs i think when i redid it all years ago my list of bugs i found exceeded 53 or more that needed fixed sure most of them were easy fixes but some were not including rewrite of the socket layer and sql to make it stable.
I don't care what editing/fixing you have done to 5017 if ya didn't recode the socket handling and the sql it is junk no matter what else you have fixed lol because with a load of people on it other then yourself and 2-3 friends it's gonna crash or freeze up like everyone elses that thinks they fixed it before you.
I only know of 2 people that successfully made 100% stable lotf and proved it with heavy loads of players without any problems and that was myself and Saint years ago, There might be others but none over the years that i have seen posted claiming to be stable actually ever were with more then 30+ people on it. Many people long before you and as aerogant as you claimed to have fixed it all up and really didn't.
And enless you also coded in sanity checks on everything ( which i doubt ) it is exploitable/hackable in so many ways i won't even bother posting them all, Everyone can just use cheat engine and give themselves anything they want and it is very vulnerable to sql injections.
You can't build a skyscraper on sand, And fixing anything other then the base first in lotf is doing just that and i'm sure yours is no different i'll put $100 bucks on it that your source doesn't handle more then little over 30+ users before it starts scrolling null references errors all over and enumeration errors and eventually freezes up and crashes and needs constant restarts like everyone elses LOL.
