1. Cut a small part of paper of the size of the text in the CO2 client.
2. Write down the current date and time. (You can use color if you want...)
3. Use some glue or scotch tape to put the small part of paper on your screen where you see the date & time in the CO2 client.
4. Update the date and time every minutes.
You now have a fully working CO2 client
No seriously, the solution is in my first post. If you have no clue what is a network packet or how to send it, or how to understand the binary structure of the packet based on my code, forget about it. You won't have a step by step tutorial because you lack some fundamental knowledge to understand it anyway. Just live with the base UNIX date & time, it won't kill you.
