Lots of conversion needed but yes, always possible as long as it's not going to require new client functionality.

EG: I know the pure archer skill wouldn't 100% work on older clients because it was hard coded into the exe. I'm sure that's true of a few other things but in terms of graphical effects, it's pretty easy.
