Oh god, time to break this (blade911's) post down

The fact that he has hosted the f*cking server at the age of 15 for over a goddamn year without help is a pretty good job.
|
No, it means he's capable of accepting donations, or has money to burn in-real-life. There's nothing hard about hosting a server, it's not like trying to build a quantum computer.

Even if he uses TQ Binaries he can still be a good coder, maybe he just doesn't want to waste fucking time when he has a life on coding one?
|
Sure, that's a plausible. It's also plausible that the
best coder in the world uses VB, however
it's highly unlikely.

I mean why not use TQ binaries if you can code? There is nothing to prove unless you want to "show off" that you can code. He just doesn't give a rats ass.

Your making a lot of assumptions here. The simple reason is flexibility. Coders, and I don't mean some, I mean all, anyone who loves programming and is good at, love to have control over what they're able to do. The TQ Binaries is like a box to a programmer, it is limited, unlike where when you write your own server its limitless (You know what I mean -- See tao's example on 'patching hacks' in some other thread).

If you think you can manage a server with 200+ players with an average of 200 ping and below for a year at least then I will give you the goddamn right to even talk. Even Hybrid can't do that, he spends his time making threads about "how to identify a good server
|
Once again, hosting isn't anything hard. Buying a host isn't anything hard. Running a TQ-binary on a host isn't hard. I don't understand your argument. I don't know Hybrid well enough to make a judgment about him, let alone a conclusion.

'do they ask for donations? if so then this is a bad server'. Seriously, this statement is a fail because he didn't ask for donations and he ended up changing hosts because he had no money and then everyone left his server because they had 500+ ping. That is sad.
|
I think I know what your talking about, I believe that's a server named AcidCO, is it not? While I may not agree with the statement explicitly, I understand his point of view. The simple matter is as I said, obtaining a host is not hard. As far as I know AcidCO is being run on a
dedicated host in the
UK therefore it is expected
(North) American players will get lag due to the mass distance over seas, do you not understand these concepts? Generalizing (North) American players as 'everyone' is just being ignorant.

#extra- And lol I like you people's jealousy - making hacks for his server because you want to try to ruin it since you can't make a better one.
|
Your making an awful lot of assumptions here again. Perhaps someone just dislikes him, that's a reason to make a hack there without jealousy. Perhaps someone wants to test his or her abilities of making a hack; that doesn't require any real motive there. You clearly have no understand about my abilities in programming and I don't suggest someone who doesn't understand programming make claims about my abilities.
You seem to be a fan of straw men arguments, your incapable of actually putting forth an argument that's sustainable and isn't a load of bull-shit once you read it over again and think about it. You'd do good as a creationist.
* Wikipedia 'Strawmen argument' and 'creationist' if you don't know what they are.
