I don't code lotf but simply go to where it has the drop calculations and have it add cp to your character and save database.

You can also do random chance in there if you wanted (to control chance of gaining cp or random amount of cp gained)

Should be exact same code as it is to add/remove cp via npc or using item but simply use that as the drop calculation then add your random chance and percent calculation parts for amounts and stuff.

You can do both under the drop calculations. Use a drop calculation to control how often you gain cp from a monster (so it's not every kill) and then inside that drop rule do a random number between 1-x and have that random number be the actual amount given. I did the exact same thing with cp awarding items on my server so they give random cp rewards + rare chance of winning a 'cp lotto' type thing. works quite nicely.

I used coemu, I haven't worked on any sources in a while because I just started university + my server was having some stability issues at the time and I was sorta burned out. I was doing the project originally as a way to teach myself basic scripting and coding principles so that adjusting to university would be a bit easier. The project kinda turned into a public server though when I opened it for testing and I spent far too much time dealing with players instead of adding new features and fixes to the server which lead to a burnout and lack of fun from the project.

When you are spending like 10 hours a day online doing player events, tracking down player bugs/complaints and basically trying to keep people happy, you don't get much actual coding done.
