I agree with Smythe, teaching a programming language to a 5 years old/not native English kid is a challenge which cannot be fulfilled because of the age, We're talking about normal people, normal 5 year old kids tend to play around.
Now since i was keeping my opinion for a while.
When is somebody a coder? Imo, someone is a coder when he/she can create advanced applications on his/her own without difficulties, and of course without having to check someone's work.Even if the application is not in any means related to CO and private servers.

No not really, but im trying to learn
I can some coding and have some experience with c++ and C#, but not the big
So im not a big help. I learned coding out of private servers and then i tried to code add ons for things and so on, but not big things
So no i wont call me a coder

Correction: You can not "learn" coding by tweaking someone's code ( whether it is a released code to add something ) to do another job, because simply, you are just tweaking another code without actually understanding the basics of it and what it does.
like for example: most of those released codes in LOTF ( if not all ) use the same NPCFace(30).. And they all use that ridiculous random algorithm.
I bet 90% of them don't understand what they are doing.

umm its setting the face of the NPC (the picture of it, the ID (in this case 30) is a pic in the folder, just like all the other IDs)

You didn't get my point, which is why is everyone using face 30?
Answer is: because someone released a code with NPCFace = 30.

It is possible to learn anything at any age (Mozart can attest to that).
To be honest, though, anyone that teaches their kid things in C++ at age 5 doesn't deserve to have a kid...
Kids need lives outside.
Teenagers speed so little time outside anymore, as does most of the world.
Kids do, normally, so let them.

nah nah you misunderstood me.
I didnt edit others things.
I self tried code them, by looking wich things did what
And then after i readed some thigns about C# and C++.
and readed a book about it, but i didnt get really good -.-
I think the best way to learn coding is to try
/agree about the 90% dont understand......
Yeah they probably dont understand what they doing, if they creat new NPC they just Copy another npc and paste it another place and edit ID of it and what it do.
Thats not really coding

@grillmad, this thread is open for discussions, as long their not personal and/or insulting.
@Andyd, that's an extreme example.
