Best newest source?

i was curious which source is the best and most updated, i've been looking through them but im new to this. It was looking like the Messy Messi "soruce" untill i read all the comments.

im looking for somthing that i can play around with locally, not as a server, just to get to learn things. I'd like it to include all the way up to jiang if theres currently something out.

Thanks to who ever can point me in the right direction... also setting it up tut might be a help too lol, theres quite a few tuts, and once i actually figure out which source im gunna need to know how to set it up lol.

Well the best sources are those that made by Hybrid, Impulse people like that... But they are mainly bases and don't have much coded.

On the other hand the newest sources made by Messi and other people are bad examples to start with.

So you could either take an older source and upgrade it (good for learning) or take a new source and rewrite it.

This of course is my own opinion and other people may see different

This is just me but, If you're looking to get into conquer private servers and understand how it works. Start on a patch like 5117. I like that patch due to the crypto is less complicated and it is fully sniffed so that would really help with the packets.

none of the sources here though seem to have jaing... except the messi one, and based on the comments i dont think that would be too good as a learning source to play with locally.

is there anyway i could install jiang into one of these cleaner sources?

Problem with alot of the newer sources is the writers were in such a hurry to get the source out there that they simply dumped it all together and said here you go.
They are full of bugs, messy coding, and honestly hard to interpret and develop further.

If you are looking to learn, then an older patch is more suited to your needs.
Especially considering all of the packets are available and there are several references.

And the only way to get Jiang into a source is to use a patch that has Jiang

I would suggest you start with one of those sources and actually practice how to develop for Conquer then look into packets, cryptography etc. and how to update sources for versions and then look into implementing the systems yourself.

Most of the public sources are all based off one another, so any of them are fine to learn on, generally. Plus most are so crappy that you'd get a real learning experience trying to get things working. I'd say just follow one of the guides on how to set one up here, find the easiest guide and use it. Also if you're trying to learn C# from a public source, don't brag that you're learning C# because you aren't.

I would like to add more to this.

If you really want to learn the language I suggest to do general stuff, like creating a calculator and handle exception if it causes any etc.

And once you think you know enough to put it on a test, you should try it than.

I have learned far more than I ever would by doing those stuff than I ever would by just trying to code an NPC for example.
