[hmm? question] removing item lock, client side.
any idea where i'd have to do this? and also how? I hate this, it mainly takes all fun out of pking anymore.. TQ was stupid to implement it. I wanna revert to many older features.. beginning with this  anyone gotsa idea on this?

No it is source sided so you cant take it out of client =x

what about as in.., taking it out of source? i mean like.. the use.. but, there HAS to be the item lock client thing. i mean.. just the box to lock your item.. i mean what you think?

Yeah but if u remove from client it searches in data.wdf and you cant remove that or **** will happen.

****.. so wait, when you're item's locked, does any status change in the database? such as a 0 to 1? unlocked - locked? hmm.. if there is, i could remove that which would possibly remove the whole item lock effect?

theres a check in conquer.exe for locked items etc, if you're good at asm you can probably jump over the check

If you're talking about tq binaries(which you probably are) there is no "source side" are you only have the executable.
Removing the column in the database will just cause errors.
The only semi-easy way would be for you to ollydebug and jump over the call that sets locked/unlocked.

My objective by asking this question is to be able to access a sound from the client folder so that when a firework goes off (for example) it makes the sound. Ultimately, I want to be able to play sounds for NPCs such as the starter quest's slashing sounds and such. How do I access sound files from the client folder?

Question about new item lock

Just wondering with new item lock thing if you want to keep some extra equips in your inventory if there locked will they drop if your killed pked? Ex: i have a rb fire i like to switch between melee/magic if i have my poleaxe/ring equipped and have my bs/brace in my inventory locked if i happend to die will it drop. I kinda tested with one of my noobs but was unconclusive nothing dropped when locked but some stuff dropped/didnt drop b4 i locked also. Just woindering if anyone else has tried...
