Hello, I am attempting to code on the Albetros source that pro4never worked on, and I want to use the latest official client and build on the code from there to make the newest features work. Could anyone give me any heads up on how to create a bypass for the TQ autopatch server or how to create my own autopatch? (Obviously I don't want to use the one pro4never used/made, I'd like to learn to make my own/how it's done). I figure pro4never will reply on here eventually, so... Anyway-- I know the Albetros source files contained some extra files to replace the ones in the official client that would allow the client to run with his "loader" Would anyone be willing to help me understand what specific files are needed to be changed, in what ways to do the exact thing that pro4never did to run the specific patch numbers for the Albetros source? (If this makes sense)
And, pro4never, I didn't message you directly or post this on the Albetros FAQ thread because it isn't specifically dealing with coding that source. Just working with the client.
Thanks anyone for any help on this. Or if you can refer me elsewhere to read up on something (aside from sarcastic or condescending referrals to 'learn to code')...
Edit:
I was thinking... Does the launcher pro4never created (if he created it, idk) basically do the following?:
1. Bypass TQ autopatch
2. Load a specific file in place of server.dat or change how server.dat loads the server information?
3. Run conquer.exe or play.exe with that old "blacknull" thing?
I ask about #2 because when I attempted to change the server lists and whatnot, I couldn't get it to work. For example, if I only wanted to list one group, and one server, and name it whatever I wanted... ?
