Binaries,Source + Client using = sue?

once for all using binaries or source don't make necessary getting sued by TQ! It is using the CLIENT that make getting sued. Client is copyright! Oh BTW Client + Binaries + source are all ways to get sued cause all copy Conquer game!

So think about it... we all are copying Conquer Online game ..so that is the best way to get sued.... create your own kind of game if you don't want TQ on your *****...lmao

Oh Andy closed cause he had TQ on his *** and was using his CoEmuV2 source... anyone think about the sense.

And if you have changed everything associated with TQ/netdragon then they are sueing you on what basis? Do they even have a leg to stand on lol

I am sueing you for using something that has NOTHING associated with me but I will still sue? Just because it has similar ideas and if this is so then TQ can be sued for using ninja or even the religion Taoism o.0 A person who studies Taoism is a TAOIST lol

Well you could just grab an official Conquer DB (JoshuaX released an August 2007 full-English one) and check the Tinter NPC xD

Tq's server binaries, source and databases are also subject to copyright. The difference is, it is much more difficult to prove that someone is using these, whereas someone distributing a client is unmistakable.
Even writing a completely custom server or client from scratch will no guarantee safety. You would need to be sure that you havn't included any copies of algorithms used by TQ, and make sure you're not conflicting with any patents that TQ own (if any).

Andy was distributing a modified client with his server. Obvious legal trouble. He could've circumvented that, but didn't want the hassle.
