Please, can you be more informative?
Such as what version did you upgrade from?
And if it's your first time ever even upgrading, perhaps try upgrading a lower version first such as 5017 to 5065?

What would it matter if he went and used a lower patch to upgrade?
There will still be some packets that have changed.

5017 and such have a far more simple client, it would make it easier. Anyways, his problem is solved. So nothing more to argue about.
