Sounds to me like an antivirus done its "failsafe" technique and corrupted the file.

>> I highly doubt would be the problem.

On slightly older OS's such as XP -- yes.

Since he said "Run as admin" I assume its win7 and win7 has a nice little error saying "Runtime vx.x required" :P

Well I have no idea. I only know that sometimes if you dont have .net installed it gives the error with Win32 app and some hex numbers like 0x00000007c.

I would think Impulse is right, because if it was a security issue, the file would simply disappear (because the firewall/anti-virus would have removed it), would it not? Since the owner of the thread seems to not even know what .NET is, that's probably the issue (if I had to make an educated guess).

It's definitely not a .NET issue, as it's a native application written in C++. It's most likely OP's AV software or something interfering with the download.

Ohhh!! I know what this is (I think). My friend had an issue with this as well (not for this application though). If this program wasn't programmed in VC++ CLR and was in fact coded in VC++ Win32, then maybe he needs the VC++ redistribution package.

Nah, not CLR, it's a VC++ MFC application. It's been statically linked, so you won't need the redist. package

You can use this program to study and analyze packets (non-encrypted) on the latest EO client. It shouldn't need much explaining, if you don't know what this is about, then it's most likely not going to be of any use to you anyway. For a more advanced filter, you can add/remove "opcodes" and choose to ignore those or only display those. An opcode is a packet type and it is always positioned after the first 2 bytes. It is 2 bytes in size. To give an example, 3EC looks to be the opcode for...
