Actually you can download a working QO3-Client (Version 5121.3001) directly from their site now:

The console got shutdown though, since they went live with v3 "today".

this qonquer server its piece of ****... drop isnt changed...ppl want high rates on a pvt server not new effects, if i wanna play a game with cool effects i go on magicworld, silkroad and other "cul" games..

Well it doesn't really matter to me that Qo3 is out updated to newest co patch when it will be pay to get everything like it was in Qo2 lol.

It won't be any better then playin real co when people just buy there way into power using $$ for qp and overpower the free players so whats the difference between co and qo ? None that i can see.

And i have seen the usual arguments about making money to pay for hosting bla bla bla ect.

If Qo server was that good people would gladly "donate" there money free of will without expecting anything out of it and the server would be better then CO because everyone would be on equal ground. But since it isn't why change from real co to Qo i ask ?

There is no real difference that i can see.

Well we all gotta eat. I spent 5 years of my life developing QO, spent thousands of MY pounds on hosting all that time, made myself ill due to worry about where my next meal was coming from, had a nervous breakdown, went on anti-depressants, lost my job, ended up in hospital, came back out. Sat down and said right, I deserve my money back, but I'm not going to just sit here and take it, i'm gonna work my *** off getting QO patched to the latest version. I admit it's not 100% complete yet, but its **** close. And that took me what? 4 weeks by myself? A 40 year old man? How old are all you lot btw?

Yea I'm being arrogant, I have a right to be like that. I don't have to prove my skills to anyone, they are there for all to see for themselves. Maybe I'll release QOProxy2 and screw up CO again. Just for laughs?

and do u think this is the way to become rich? i dont think so. if i'm wrong please contradict me but i know things are copied prohibited unless u pay the autor's rights. so u copied original co and changed it... go and get a job if ure a good programmer, at the age of 40 years conquer its not for u...no offense but as i said contradicts me...but u wont get alot of money from this because its a game for kids at least lol
do u think kids will steal mom's credit card to donate to ur site? i dont think so

Don`t take this as an attack, but I think that you`re missing self-control. You have almost ruined your life because of CO/QO, although you don`t have to tell me how it is when you feel that you can`t stand up from the PC, or realize that you just spent 15 hours in the front of it, we`ve all been there, done that :P

By the way, how comes that CoEmuV2 got closed by TQ for distributing their client and QO hasn`t? My tip was that they were using the newer client, but now I think I missed something?

CoEmu didnt get closed by TQ, they decided to shut down before TQ "might" have tried. And I don't want to get rich, I want to simply have enough to eat, if you think everyone's motivation in life is tones and tones of money, then you have a little problem. And as I just said, I lost my job because of health reason which are still a problem in regards to getting work, i used the time off to patch QO up.

As for the copyright issues, seeing as the server is fully my own work, there's no legal issue. An idea or a concept cannot be copyrighted, only something that physically exists. Writing a "compatible" piece of software is not an offence, there are plenty of precidents such as Openoffice.org and the chip software on compatible inkjet cartridges. If TQ play up I will take it all the way, which TQ will not want to do because they will be afraid of losing and setting a dangerous legal precident. They may have some beef about the client distribution (which is the only problem), but we can deal with that. I've lived a lot longer than most of you, had a great deal more experience, and to be bluntly honest, could probably code every one of you into the ground. How I choose to live my life is my business, how you choose to judge me is yours, but if you are judging me, then you immediately become lower than I as I never do that.

its crazy that you spent all that money and time and suffering developing a conquer server emulator, and i want to know... What is your purpose in all of this?

Leave the guy alone and enjoy the game thats what it is meant for. Your all getting bent over a GAME just play it, slip into that alternate reality and enjoy it. But no need to start a crusade over something made for pure enjoyment. Thanks Qonquer for what you do I enjoy playing on your servers and hope you get them all patched up to completion.
